Rules
Rules for the tournament:
When a D plays a D or an E plays an E, they will use the USSSA rules that apply. When an E and D team play, they will use the D rules. However, the E team will receive one runner starting on second for the first 3 innings.
Every pitcher will receive a free courtesy runner. The team may use one courtesy runner per inning, not counting the pitcher's runner. The runner must be in the lineup.
Balls will be provided. Anyone caught putting a ball in their bag that is in the tournament play will cause their team to be ejected from the tournament. The team will also be subjected to a fine if the act is egregious.
Bat testing will be done, 35 minutes before the teams first game. All teams will have 25 bats they can test to get 20 stickers. Once the 20 stickers are applied, the team testing is done. You must bring your bats up as a team.
The overall winner will receive 3 bats. The top finisher in the division that does not win the tournament will receive 2 bats. The top finisher other than the above mentioned teams will receive one bat. A $70 bounty team will also be in effect.
Good luck this weekend!
Rules for Steven's Point
This tournament will be a 3 game guarantee bracket for Men's and women's teams. Men's E will be a stand alone bracket. If there are 6 women's E teams, they will be a stand alone bracket. Mixed will be on Sunday only.
Home run rules for Men's C/D. When a D plays a C, they will use the C home run rules (5, then outs) but will have 1 runner start at 2nd for the first 3 innings. When D plays D, they will play the D home run rules. (3 then inning ending out)
E will play E home run rules, (1 than an inning ending out) Women's have no nome run rules, but will be given 3 runners for the lower class team in the first 3 innings.
The women’s team home run rules are as follows: When a “C” team is playing, they will get 2 over the fence home runs. Any in excess will be an inning ending out. If a lower classified team is playing a “C” team, they will be given runner’s starting on second for each class they are lower. (this is in recognition that occasionally, an “E” team may be playing in a tour event for women) When “D” teams play, they receive 1 over the fence home run with excess being declared an inning ending out. This rule will be modified to being outs only when playing on 250 foot fences.
Mixed teams will follow the mixed home run rules. Mixed C teams will get 5 HR's with excess being an out. Any gender home run counts towards the total. Mixed D teams will get 3 HR's with excess being an out. Any gender home run counts towards the total. Mixed E teams will get 1 HR's with excess being an out. Equalizer will be used when you play classes.
